This restaurant is fantastic. Located at a very convenient place which is quite easy to reach. The decor is simply amazing. It had a very mughal look with the lightings. The wash basin area was also very nice. The staffs were also very polite. Coming to the food it is simply mouth watering. The quantity and quality everything was amazing. The mutton biriyani was so tasty also the mutton tikka masala and butter naan combo totally delicious.The prices was quite affordable. Totally worth it. Highly Recommended.
Royal Indian Restaurant has been running in Kolkata for over a 110 years. Recently visited this outlet which has a modern touch to the tradition it upholds for years. The food is outstanding and so is the service. We tried: 🔹Chicken Malai Kebab (INR 280) 🔹Mutton Galawati Kebab (INR 320) 🔹Mutton Biryani (without Aaloo - Potato, INR 270) 🔹Chicken chaap (INR 240) 🔹Mutton Chaap (INR 260) 🔹Firni (INR 70) Their kebab just melts in the mouth and tastes scrumptious. You should also try their Chicken Kasturi Kebab, which is yet another speciality! Note: Being a traditional Lucknowi restaurant, their signature is the Biryani without Aaloo (Potato), which is unlike Kolkata style biryani where Potato is a MUST. If you want it with Aaloo, just mention that while ordering. Also you MUST try their chicken chaap and mutton chaap with Rumali Roti. It tastes amazing! A recommended place if you love awadhi/Mughal cuisine.
Absolutely nothing to fault this place on, every single thing was perfect. Starting with the kakori kebab, so so so soft, absolutely melts in your mouth, 5/5, must try! Their biryani is flavourful, it's delicious and wholesome, amazing! Mutton chaamp was also great but the star of the day was their galawati kebab, absolutely stunning, I'd give it a 10/5, loved every single thing about it. The service was also exceptional! Excellent quality and quantity of rice and gravy. Mutton chaap is exceptional, I recommend everyone to try this. Great place for biryani lovers. Can visit with friends as well as family. Service is good. Must visit.
The fish tikka and galouti kebabs were top notch...but the mutton biryani was dud, I didn't like it much.
It was a royal experience. The aroma of the biriyani, the quality of rice was at it's best. Mutton biriyani is best accompanied with the mutton chanp....you can get the smell off real gheee from the biriyani and the chap. Also ordered garlic nun and chicken quoma. These two dish was also amazing. Ohh and the sahi tudka.....the mouth melting, the aroma of desi ghee and malai.....😍😍 Problem - No doubt about the food taste and quality but the quantity of biriyani is a bit low , though it's good for one but as the price is 370 rs so the quantity can be a bit higher. Ya it maybe consider a overpriced.

The mutton chaap is fantastic - best paired with the rumali roti, don’t get naans with it. The Kasturi chicken kebab, chicken tikka, chicken tangdi kebab and paneer tikka kebab are all good. The fish kebab is very dry and quantity is very little
